Waterfalls of Rocky Mountain National Park

Marc Conly, Photography by Nancy Conly Miscia

This handsome book celebrates the magical mix of clean air, radiant sunlight, dancing waters and hypnotic sounds of tumbling waterfalls in Colorado's flagship national park. Types of falls here include plunges, fans, horsetails, punchbowls and cascades within the high rugged and heavily glaciated mountains at the heart of the Rockies of the renowned Colorado landscape.

Conly presents a seven-point summary for each of the 37 waterfalls described in this book, including GPS locations, access info, trail miles with elevation gain/loss, elevation, and wheelchair accessibility. Photographs accompany the text. Writing for park visitors and armchair explorers alike, Conly organizes the falls in relation to each other. Waterfall geology and hints about safely viewing these scenic wonders are included. This is the first book of a series detailing the waterfalls of Colorado, each providing a dazzling journey through Colorado's High Country.
